About us

WiseGP is a joint initiative between the Society of Academic Primary Care, and the Royal College of General Practitioners. The work is led by Joanne Reeve in partner with colleagues from across the academic and clinical communities.

WiseGP is Wise General Practice – aimed at everyone involved in delivering primary healthcare and patients who use it. Knowledge work is part of everyday general practice work and all members of team are invited to engage with developing the scholarship skills they might need to contribute to this part of their role.

Many people have contributed to the resources on this site. You will have a chance to meet some of them as you browse through the site.

WiseGP is excited to welcome our three new WISE Interns who joined the team in January 2021. Made possible by generous funding from the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, Dr Annabelle Machin, Dr Johanna Reilly and Dr Emily Lyness are now working with us to develop and extend the resources available through WiseGP.
